Snug as a Bear in a Cowl

Once again, I must make a reference to the original Joann’s visit. Yes, this project is the product of one of the 7 skeins of yarn that we just had to get. Here you’ll see a “Hooded Bear Knit Cowl” that was a pattern on the back of a yarn label. I made James’ in a larger size so that when we take our trip to Washington, D.C. this winter, he’ll be nice and snuggly. Heaven knows it’s not cold right now! September was Florida’s hottest month on record EVER! So cute as he looks, we’re going to wait until then for him to wear it. 🙂

I made this project with less than a ball of Bernat Baby Blanket tiny yarn (supposedly a 4, but it feels more like a 3) with size 6 circular needles (it is worked flat, though.) If you have some time on your hands to make a wonderful gift for a little one, the pattern is shown on Yarnspirations below:

Have fun!
